More About This Car
This is an exceptionally well-presented Porsche 981 Boxster 2.7, powered by the fabulous sounding naturally aspirated flat-six engine that has become such an important part of Porsche history.
The 981 generation is particularly special for enthusiasts, combining the beautifully balanced Boxster chassis with Porsche's naturally aspirated six-cylinder engines, before the introduction of the turbocharged four-cylinder engines in the 718 Boxster and Cayman. As a result, really good, low-mileage 981 examples are becoming increasingly sought after.
Registered in January 2014 and having covered just 28,190 miles from new, this particular Boxster is finished in beautiful Sapphire Metallic Blue with Black leather and sits on a set of 20 inch Carrera S alloy wheels in silver. It is an exceptionally attractive combination and the car presents superbly both inside and out.
The specification includes Porsche Communications Management (PCM 3.1) with Navigation and Hard Drive, CD Player, Universal Audio Interface with Porsche Sound Package, Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch transmission, Park Assist Front and Rear, Mobile Phone Preparation with Bluetooth Hands-Free, SportDesign steering wheel with paddle shifters, Light Design Package, Sports Tailpipes, Automatic Dimming Mirrors with integrated rain sensor, Heated Seats, Cruise Control, Electric Folding Exterior Mirrors, Black Instrument Dials, Aluminium Trim Finishers, Air Conditioning, Wind Deflector, Windscreen with Top Tint, Porsche Colour Crested Wheel Centres, Red Brake Calipers, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), Auto Headlights with Dusk Sensor, Bi-Xenon Headlamps in Black, Model Designation Deletion, Porsche Over-mats in Black and Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (PVTS).
Visually, this is a particularly lovely example and a real credit to its former keepers. The Black leather interior presents beautifully, while the exterior looks amazing, with the Sapphire Metallic Blue paintwork giving the car a particularly elegant appearance.
Importantly, this Boxster has been exceptionally well maintained throughout its life, with servicing carried out by Porsche Main Dealers and respected Porsche Specialists on seven occasions during its 28,000 miles.
It comes complete with its original handbooks and document wallet, stamped service book, an extensive collection of MOT certificates and invoices, and both original keys.

The latest service in February 2026 was particularly comprehensive, including a major service, Brake Fluid change, PDK Clutch Oil Change, PDK Gearbox Oil Change, Air Filter, Drive Belt and Spark Plugs.
The car has also benefited from a new battery in 2024 and an air-conditioning service in 2025, so the system blows crisp and cold.
I personally collected this Boxster and drove it for around two hours on my journey home and I was genuinely delighted by how it drove. The steering, PDK gearbox, engine and overall feel of the car is excellent and very communicative, and it feels exceptionally tight and composed on the road.
That drive also gave me a very good opportunity to experience the car for myself, rather than simply relying on its history and presentation. It is a genuinely lovely Boxster to drive and one that has left a particularly strong impression on me.
With its naturally aspirated 2.7-litre flat-six, PDK transmission, attractive Sapphire Metallic Blue colour combination, excellent specification and just 28,190 miles from new, this is a particularly appealing example of the Porsche 981 Boxster.
It is a fabulous example of one of Porsche's naturally aspirated six-cylinder sports cars, and one that I am particularly pleased to have selected as our first privately purchased stock Porsche.
This is exactly the sort of car we look for at DRIVEwithPaul: low mileage, beautifully presented, properly maintained and supported by an excellent history.
